Ceremony at Flushing & Cypress Hills Cemeteries / Cérémonie en hommage à nos morts

Faithful to tradition, we met to honor our departed comrades on 31 October 2015 at the French War Veterans’ section of Flushing Cemetery and at Cypress Hills Cemetery where 24 French sailors who perished in the Spanish influenza epidemic of 1918 while they were on active duty on French Navy ships.
Msgr. John Paddack pronounced the invocation at both ceremonies. M. Yann Yochum, Vice-Consul represented the Consul General of France. The Federation was represented by our President Alain Dupuis, Mme Françoise Cestac, Special Counsellor, Paul Garabedian, Secretary, Henri Dubarry, Treasurer, Pierre Martinez, Color Guard and 2nd Vice President Daniel Falgerho.
The American Society of Le Souvenir Français was represented by M. Jean Lachaud, President and Colonel Serge Gabriel and his wife Marilyn.
