US VETERANS RECEIVE THE LEGION OF HONOR/VETERANS AMERICAINS DECORES DE LA LEGION D’HONNEUR

On November 14, 2016 in a ceremony held at the French Lycée of New York, 14 Veterans who participated in the liberation of France during the Second World War received the Knight’s Cross of the French Legion of Honor from the hands of Ms. Anne-Claire Legendre, Consul General of France and of Mr. Guy Wildenstein, President of the American Society of the French Legion of Honor.
Five cadets ofn the French Military Academy of St-Cyr/Coetquidan attending courses at West Point participated in the ceremony.
The Federation was represented by our president Alain Dupuis, Henri Dubarry, Treasurer, Pierre Martinez, Yves Busnel and Daniel Falgerho.
Jean Lachaud, President of the American Society of Le Souvenir Français, Jacques Letalon and Les Cadets La Fayette including André Ferrara at the bass drum were in attendance.
